  • Our approach

Gill's approach is warm, respectful and collaborative, providing a safe space where you can talk openly without judgement. Sessions focus on understanding patterns and building insight, with evidence-based strategies tailored to your circumstances. The work draws from a range of approaches including cognitive-behavioural therapy, EMDR, stress management, resilience training, relational psychotherapies, and skills training. Sessions progress from an initial consultation exploring what's brought you here and your history, to more focused ongoing work where you develop insight, work through patterns, and build practical strategies you can apply between appointments. You'll always have a clear sense of what you're working on and why, with progress tracked and the approach adjusted as needed.

  • Your first visit

Your first session is a chance to talk through what's brought you here—your current situation, your history, and what you're hoping to get from therapy. Gill will start building a picture of your circumstances and begin working with you in a way that's tailored to your individual needs and style. You'll be welcomed into a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space where she does more than just listen, helping you build meaningful insight to better understand and navigate your concerns. The first session usually involves a detailed analysis of your current situation and history. You don't need to prepare anything in advance.
