  • Our approach

Sessions are tailored to each child's age and developmental stage, using play-based activities for younger children and conversational therapy for older ones. The clinic takes a neuro-affirming, holistic approach that treats the whole person rather than just symptoms, integrating physical, emotional, and developmental needs. Psychologists and occupational therapists work collaboratively to help children develop practical strategies for managing their emotions and behaviour, which can carry through into everyday life. Sessions focus on building a clearer picture of each child's unique needs, whether addressing anxiety, attention difficulties, social challenges, or emotional regulation. The multidisciplinary team ensures coordinated, well-rounded care alongside paediatricians and allied health professionals.

  • Working with families

The clinic believes that strategies used in sessions should carry through into everyday life, so psychologists work closely with parents and caregivers to teach them how to support their child's development. Clinicians offer guidance on how to help your child at home and school, ensuring the whole family is equipped to support the child's emotional, behavioural and developmental needs. The multidisciplinary team works collaboratively with families to foster a supportive environment, and the clinic also welcomes referrals and collaboration from GPs, paediatricians, and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated, comprehensive care. Communication is central to the clinic's model—families have one point of contact and one timeline, reducing the mental load on parents navigating multiple services.

  • Meet the team

The team includes Dr Hema, an experienced General Paediatrician with a special focus on community paediatrics and child development who also works at Westmead Children's Hospital; David, a registered psychologist with over 10 years' experience and Team Lead who administers standardised assessments and provides therapy; Sarah, a Registered Psychologist and Clinical Neuropsychology Registrar with over five years' experience specialising in ADHD, Autism, and Learning Disorders assessments; and Kay, an occupational therapist with over 10 years' experience who is a Basic DIRFloortime provider, SOS approach to feeding provider, and Therapeutic listening provider. The clinic also has Laura, an experienced medical and customer service officer who provides quality support through the assessment process, and Aishwarya, an intake officer and Psychology student who guides families through intake with professionalism.

  • Your first visit

At the first appointment, the clinic will communicate with you to understand your concerns and your child's challenges, then put together a personalised assessment plan. The initial contact is managed by the intake officer, who guides families through the process with care and professionalism, ensuring you feel supported and informed. The clinic offers a free 15-minute phone call to help you discover options and find the right solution for your family before committing to a full assessment. Once the assessment is undertaken, the team will provide comprehensive results and recommendations to guide ongoing support and therapy tailored to your child's needs.
