Our approach
Sessions are built on establishing safe, nurturing relationships where children are seen, safe and soothed. For younger children, play-based approaches are used to help explore and make sense of life's difficulties in a way that feels natural and engaging. With adolescents and adults, evidence-based strategies are tailored to individual needs and goals. Parent participation is essential, especially with younger children, and the frequency and nature of their involvement varies depending on the child's developmental needs and what's being addressed in therapy. Throughout therapy, the focus is on building on strengths and working together to set meaningful, achievable goals in a warm, compassionate and inclusive space.
