About Grow Early Autism Supports
Grow Early Autism Supports is a mobile early intervention service providing child-centred, play-based, and neuroaffirming therapy for autistic children aged 1–9, including those with complex and high support needs. - Individualised therapy at home or school using evidence-based strategies tailored to each child's strengths and needs, with collaboration with teachers to support learning and participation.
- Parent Coaching and Family Support
- Coaching sessions via telehealth or in-person to help parents develop practical skills and strategies to support their child's learning through play and daily routines.
- Early Childhood Education Professional Development and Training
- Tailored professional learning for early childhood educators on inclusive practices, behaviour support, emotional co-regulation, and supporting children with developmental differences and autism.

- Professional training and certification in the Early Start Denver Model delivered across Australia and internationally.

Early Intervention Therapy (1–5 years) and (5–9 years) – per hour
Sessions are 60 or 90 minutes; NDIS funding can be used to cover these sessions.

Our approach
Grow Early Autism Supports uses a child-centred, play-based, and neuroaffirming approach to therapy. The team delivers the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM), an evidence-based approach where children learn through daily routines, play, and positive meaningful interactions. Sessions are delivered in the home, early education centre, and community settings where children naturally spend their time. Goals are developed collaboratively with families and teachers, and child motivation is central to the learning process. The therapy is tailored to each child's unique strengths and needs, with a focus on building communication, confidence, independence, and meaningful skills for daily life.
Working with families
The provider actively collaborates with parents, caregivers, and educators to tailor supports for each child. Parent coaching and family support sessions are available to help families develop personalised, practical strategies that support learning, independence, and communication at home and in everyday settings. The goal is to equip families with the tools and confidence to support their child's growth and wellbeing. The team works with both children and parents to target goals using engaging, respectful play, and shares evidence and data about the approach to build parental confidence.
Meet the team
The team is led by Kristy Capes, who brings over 25 years of experience working with autistic children as an ESDM trainer, therapist, key worker, and teacher. She was trained by Dr Sally Rogers and managed the La Trobe University Community Children's Centre for over 6 years. Carolyne Jones is a highly experienced psychologist, key worker, ESDM therapist, and ESDM trainer with extensive experience supporting young children on the spectrum, particularly those with complex support needs. Both team members are published authors on Group-ESDM and have trained allied health professionals and early educators nationally and internationally. The service employs "experienced clinicians" who provide high-quality therapy and early intervention.
