At Gentle Sensory, we provide compassionate, neurodiversity-affirming support for children, adults, and their families. Our core mission is to empower, not to "fix." Through a range of tailored services, including counselling, capacity building, and peer support, we aim to support our clients in building the confidence and skills to navigate the world authentically and thrive entirely on their own terms.

- Child & Adolescent Counselling
- Neurodivergent-specific counselling for young individuals to explore their emotions, develop coping strategies, and enhance their self-esteem, fostering their overall mental well-being and resilience.
- Adult Counselling
- Catered to neurodivergent adults, sessions help clients develop self-awareness, improve problem-solving skills, and enhance overall well-being.
- Early Childhood Practitioner
- Qualified specialist dedicated to supporting the holistic development of young children.
- Neuro-Affirming Behaviour Support
- A person-centred approach used to understand and address behaviours that challenge while aiming to improve a person's quality of life and teach them new, more effective ways to meet their needs.
- Social Groups
- Interest-based social groups formulated to enhance social engagement, communication skills, problem-solving and emotional regulation using neuro-affirming PBII approaches.
- Therapeutic Support Work
- Clinician supervised support workers allocated based on interests and strengths of the participant.
- Neurodiverse Parent/Caregiver Group
- A program aimed at providing parents and caregivers with the tools to help them achieve their goals as neurodiverse parents.
- Therapeutic Holiday Programs
- Holiday programs designed to support mental health, enhance social connections, and promote overall well-being.

Our approach
Gentle Sensory takes a neurodiversity-affirming approach focused on empowerment rather than "fixing." The service provides compassionate, tailored support through counselling, capacity building, and peer support to help children build confidence and skills to navigate the world authentically and thrive on their own terms. Sessions are designed to meet individual needs within this strengths-based, supportive framework.
