Our approach
Footprints uses Interplay Therapy, a relationship-based, play-centred approach that brings both child and caregiver into the therapeutic process. Rather than focusing solely on symptoms, sessions create a shared play space where connection, safety, and attunement guide healing and help repair disrupted attachment patterns. Therapists invite parents or caregivers to join their child in experiences that strengthen emotional regulation, encourage communication, and build co-regulation between caregiver and child. For teenagers, sessions use creative expression, shared storytelling, or symbolic play to explore emotions in age-appropriate ways. The philosophy centres on healing from the root cause of challenges, not just treating surface behaviours.
