Our approach
Evolve With Us uses a neuroaffirming, family-centred approach grounded in evidence-based practice. Sessions are play-based and functional, designed to build skills in ways that feel meaningful and supportive for your child and family. The clinic looks at the whole child—including their environment, relationships, sensory profile, and daily routines—to support development at their own pace. Your child can move, bring comfort items, and engage in ways that work best for them across different therapy rooms tailored to varying sensory needs. The focus is on building strong foundations, supporting regulation, and creating opportunities for children to learn through play, connection, and everyday experiences.
Working with families
Family involvement is central to the clinic's philosophy—research shows that when families are actively involved in therapy, children experience up to 30 percent better outcomes. Therapists work closely with parents, carers, schools, preschools, and the wider community to create consistent and meaningful support across all environments. The clinic aims to support you with practical strategies and guidance so you feel confident helping your child reach their goals, and they value your voice by regularly seeking feedback from the community. Most importantly, they recognise that you know your child best and are there to learn from you as much as to support you.
Your first visit
Your first appointment is called an initial appointment and is a conversation between you and the therapist to understand your child's background, your concerns, and the goals you have for them. The therapist will not begin direct therapy with your child during this session, as the focus is on gaining a clear understanding of how to best support them. Following this session, your therapist will create an individualised plan, and therapy sessions with your child will begin from the second session. Sensitive information is often discussed, so it's recommended your child not attend, though arrangements can be made if needed. No referral is required—you can contact the clinic directly to book.
