  • Our approach

The approach is flexible, evidence-based, and genuinely affirming. Sessions are adapted to meet your needs and energy, rooted in EMDR, neurodiversity research, and compassion-focused care. The space is low-demand and collaborative, where you're invited to explore your experiences at a pace that feels safe and comfortable. For neurodivergent clients, therapy can be adapted to support sensory needs, communication preferences, executive functioning differences, and the impact of masking or burnout. You don't need to share every detail of difficult experiences for EMDR to be helpful—processing is only introduced when it feels clinically appropriate and manageable.

  • Meet the team

The service is led by Kylie Wheeler, a registered psychologist with a Master's degree in Psychology (MA Psych) who is an adult-diagnosed neurodivergent adult (AuDHDer). Kylie understands invisible challenges, emotional intensity, and lifelong masking, and has created the service to offer respectful, collaborative, and tailored care. She is trained in EMDR therapy and evidence-based, trauma-informed approaches, and has experience supporting adults seeking clarity and support later in life. Additional details about other team members are not provided on the website.

  • Your first visit

Your first appointment begins with an email enquiry or direct booking through the assessment services page. You'll select your preferred appointment time and pay a 50% deposit to secure the booking. Once payment is received, you'll receive a comprehensive intake form, initial psychometric questionnaires, and consent documents to review. You'll then meet via secure telehealth for your assessment session in a collaborative space where your experiences are explored at a safe, comfortable pace. The aim is to understand you well enough to provide a thorough and accurate assessment, with occasional additional sessions offered at no extra cost if needed. Within 2–6 weeks, you'll receive your letter or report along with a supportive resource, Your Neurodivergent Discovery Journey, and an offer for an optional feedback session.
