• Our approach

  The occupational therapists at the centre are trained in Sensory Integrative theory and also use a DIR framework to guide their treatment philosophy. Sessions focus on supporting children's development through evidence-based practice. The Speech Pathologists specialise in assessing and treating children with communication, learning and feeding difficulties, while the Educational & Developmental Psychology services support children's emotional, social, and behavioural development. The centre operates as a multidisciplinary clinic where highly skilled therapists collaborate to provide personalised care for each child and family.

• Working with families

  The centre operates on a family-centred approach, with therapists working closely with parents and carers to support meaningful and lasting change. Several team members specifically emphasise partnership with families to create safe, empowering environments tailored to each child's needs. As a consortium of independent therapists, the centre provides a more personal service while enabling excellent collaboration across disciplines when children are working with multiple professionals. This structure ensures open communication between families and their therapists.

• Meet the team

  The centre was founded in 2011 by Sarah Turner (Speech Pathologist) and Linda Collier (Occupational Therapist), both with over 20 years of paediatric therapy experience. The team includes 15+ occupational therapists with varied qualifications and experience ranging from recent graduates to highly experienced practitioners; several hold specialisations in areas such as sensory integration, autism support, trauma-informed practice, and neuro-informed approaches. The centre also employs speech pathologists, physiotherapists, psychologists, and music therapists, all registered with Medicare Australia. This multidisciplinary structure allows therapists to collaborate closely while maintaining independent practice within the centre.

• Your first visit

  To begin working with the centre, you should send an email to the intake administrator with your details and referral information. Once received, your query will be forwarded to the relevant professional who will contact you directly. This process allows new referrals to be allocated fairly and ensures you are matched with an appropriate therapist. The centre operates as a consortium of independent therapists, which means you'll develop a personal working relationship with your chosen therapist while still benefiting from excellent collaboration across the multidisciplinary team if your child sees multiple professionals.
