  • Your first visit

At the first session, the psychologist will aim to build a relationship with you so that you feel comfortable working with them. They will ask questions to find out more about your problem, doing so at your pace. Together, you will collaboratively identify goals for your work together and a plan for working towards them. You can expect to be treated with kindness, compassion, and respect, and what you discuss will be kept private and confidential without judgment. The aim is for you to leave feeling a little less burdened, and with a sense of hope for the future.
