Our approach
Dr Alison Young works with children and teens using a neurodiversity-affirming approach that builds on individual strengths while addressing challenges. Her treatment methods include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Schema Therapy, selected based on what fits each person's needs. Sessions are conducted in a safe, caring space where children and families can explore their concerns and develop practical strategies. She supports a wide range of emotional, behavioural, and developmental issues, and can integrate faith perspectives for Christian families who wish to include that in their therapy journey.
