Discovery Psychology uses a neurodiversity affirming, gender affirming and trauma informed approach to supporting young people. The psychologist believes strongly in building a strong therapeutic relationship and connecting with each young person to understand them as a whole person, rather than just their presenting concerns. Sessions focus on helping young people and their families understand themselves better and how their brain works. The practice accepts all differences and individuals, creating a supportive environment where young people can explore their thoughts, feelings and behaviours in a safe space.
