Our approach
Country Therapy uses an evidence-based, client-centred approach that brings therapy into your real-world environment — your home, school or community setting. Sessions are tailored to your child's unique situation and goals, with the same therapist seeing you at every visit so they truly understand your child's history and needs. Rather than generic recommendations, the therapy is immediately practical because it happens in the spaces where your child actually lives and learns. The practice believes in empowering both children and families to understand and achieve their best potential, working with you rather than just providing services. You'll benefit from flexible scheduling that works around your routine, whether that's morning, afternoon or evening appointments.
Working with families
Country Therapy is a family-centred practice that works with parents and carers as partners in your child's therapy journey. The team prioritises understanding your family's individual needs and circumstances, and personalises recommendations to fit your real life — not the other way around. As a family-centred approach, the practice believes in empowering both children and their families to understand and achieve their best potential together. Regular communication and reviews are built into ongoing support so you can track your child's progress and adjust goals over time. Having the same therapist at every visit also means your family builds a consistent relationship with someone who truly knows your child's history and goals.
Your first visit
Your first appointment is an initial assessment visit scheduled at your home, school or community setting — whichever feels most natural and comfortable for your family. After you get in touch by phone, email or online enquiry, the team will respond within one business day to discuss your needs and book that initial visit. During this assessment, the therapist will evaluate your child's skills and situation using evidence-based methods. Following the assessment, you'll receive a personalised therapy plan with clear goals, strategies and recommendations tailored to your child's unique circumstances. From there, you'll begin ongoing sessions at a pace that suits your family, with regular reviews to track progress and adjust goals as needed.
