  • Our approach

The clinic provides holistic, evidence-informed, and neuroaffirming care where children's unique strengths are celebrated and families are genuinely supported. Sessions are tailored to individual needs, with flexibility in location—offered in-clinic, at home, in community settings, or via telehealth. The team takes a strengths-based approach that honours each child's individuality while building capacity and confidence in meaningful everyday activities. Strong collaborative relationships with families form the foundation of therapy, creating a safe and supportive environment where children can thrive. The clinic is committed to compassionate, respectful practice that respects neurodiversity and empowers both children and families to reach their full potential.

  • Working with families

The clinic believes in genuine partnership with families and emphasizes strong, collaborative relationships as the foundation of effective therapy. Parent consultations are built into the initial assessment process, with dedicated time to discuss concerns and goals before therapy begins. Parents are involved in goal-setting conversations to ensure everyone is working toward the same outcomes, and follow-up discussions happen throughout therapy. Therapists offer workshops and one-off consultations for parents and professionals on topics like compassionate behaviour management, skill-building, and toilet training. Regular communication and involvement are central to the clinic's approach to supporting children and their families.

  • Meet the team

The multidisciplinary team includes Marissa West, a Senior Occupational Therapist with over 7 years of experience working with children and young adults, who takes a neuroaffirming, family-centred approach; Sophie Carrington, a Certified Behaviour Analyst with 10+ years' experience and a Master's degree specialising in Applied Behaviour Analysis from Monash University; Imogen Barrett, an Accredited Practising Dietitian; Shinal Patel, a Physiotherapist; and Dr Kellie Wallace, a General Practitioner. All therapists are experienced in supporting neurodiverse children and are committed to evidence-informed, compassionate practice. The clinic also has George, a Labradoodle puppy training to become a certified Therapy Dog.

  • Your first visit

The first appointment varies by service. For Occupational Therapy, an initial parent consultation (45 minutes) happens first without your child to discuss your concerns and goals, followed by a separate session with your child (45 minutes). A dedicated goal-setting conversation (30 minutes) then occurs before regular therapy begins to ensure everyone is working toward the same outcomes. For Behaviour Therapy, an initial consultation (60 minutes) covers assessment and planning. A free 15-minute discovery call is available before starting any service to help you decide if the clinic is a good fit. Formal assessments may be recommended based on early observations if needed.
