Our approach
The practice uses evidence-based techniques tailored to each client's unique needs, drawing on multiple therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR, and Schema Therapy. Sessions are conducted with warmth, empathy, and a non-judgmental stance, creating a safe space where clients feel heard and supported. The team believes in a collaborative therapeutic relationship where clients are active participants in their own healing journey. Sessions are designed to help you identify and challenge unhelpful patterns, process difficult experiences, and develop practical skills to manage symptoms and build resilience. Whether you're working through anxiety, depression, trauma, or other challenges, the focus is on understanding your unique circumstances and providing personalised support to help you thrive.
Working with families
The practice recognises the importance of family in a child's healing journey and offers parenting skills training to help parents develop effective strategies and strengthen parent-child relationships. Training covers topics such as positive discipline, communication skills, setting boundaries, and promoting emotional regulation in children. Parents' observations and concerns are valued as part of the assessment and treatment process, and the team works collaboratively with families to create a supportive home environment that complements therapy. Open communication between the psychologist and parents ensures that goals and progress are understood by everyone involved in the child's care.
