Services for children and adolescents aged 5-17 years addressing anxiety, stress, body image, self-esteem, low mood, communication, school-related issues, interpersonal challenges, and life transitions. Includes parent support.
Cognitive Assessment
Comprehensive assessment of cognitive abilities, commonly referred to as an IQ test.
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Assessment
Assessment for Autism Spectrum Disorder. Currently limited capacity available.
ADHD Assessment
Assessment for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. Currently limited capacity available.

  • Our approach

    Centre of Mind uses a counselling and intervention approach grounded in empathy, compassion and connection to support children and adolescents. Sessions address a range of concerns including anxiety, stress, body image, low mood, communication difficulties, school-related issues, and interpersonal challenges. The service also supports life transitions and adjustment, helping young people develop their capacity for wellbeing. Parent support is available as part of the overall service offering.

    Kirsty Vondeling, the Centre of Mind Director, is an Educational & Developmental Psychologist who brings expertise in supporting children and adolescents with a range of mental health and developmental concerns. She also works as Co-Director at Thrive Wellness, integrating her approach across both services.
