  • Our approach

Dr Maya Lloyd tailors her approach to each person's needs, drawing on evidence-based therapies including Schema Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Family Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), and Circle of Security attachment-based parenting framework. Sessions are 50–55 minutes long and are available in face-to-face or telehealth formats, with flexible scheduling on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays. The work focuses on helping people find purpose, direction and a sense of contentment with their lives, whether addressing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, family difficulties or adjustment challenges.

  • Working with families

Parents and carers are central to the work, with family therapy and parenting support offered as core services. When a Mental Health Care Plan requires review, Dr Lloyd sends a brief progress letter to the referring GP after six sessions. The clinic treats conditions affecting families directly, including behaviour management, parenting with mental health difficulties, repairing parent–child relationships, and supporting families through separation, blending or estrangement.

  • Meet the team

Dr Maya Lloyd is a Clinical Psychologist (M Clin Psych, PhD, FCCP, MAPS) with 20 years' experience working with children, adolescents, adults and families across public and private sectors. She is an endorsed supervisor accredited to supervise clinical registrars and those completing postgraduate psychology qualifications.

  • Your first visit

At an initial appointment, it is helpful to bring a Mental Health Care Plan (if you have one from your GP or psychiatrist) and any referral paperwork. No referral is required to book; appointments can be scheduled online for new clients. Sessions are 50–55 minutes long, and you will receive a Medicare rebate immediately after the session if you have a MHCP. Payment is taken at the end of the session via debit or credit card, or cash.
