Our approach
Sessions at Bright Futures are individualised and tailored to each child's unique needs and goals. The practice is neurodiversity-affirming and celebrates differences, providing a relationship-focused approach to therapy. Sessions are typically 50 minutes long and can be delivered in various settings—the clinic in Kallangur, home, community, educational settings, or via telehealth—depending on what works best for your family. Parent and school educational support sessions are also available to support learning across different environments. The team believes play is central to therapy and uses evidence-based approaches including Sensory Integration, Social Thinking, Executive Function, and therapeutic strategies tailored to each child's needs.
Working with families
Parent involvement is integral to the practice's approach. Educational support sessions are available for both parents and schools to help reinforce therapeutic goals across different environments. Home Programs and Visual Supports can be provided to support learning and development at home. The practice welcomes direct contact with questions and works collaboratively with families to determine session formats and settings that suit their needs and priorities.
