Our approach
Person-centred therapy forms the foundation of sessions, drawing on evidence-based techniques tailored to each child or young person's individual needs. The team uses approaches including CBT, EMDR, Schema therapy, ACT, solution-focused therapy and mindfulness techniques to help young clients explore their emotional experiences in a safe, nurturing space. Sessions are private and confidential, held face-to-face or via telehealth. The therapists believe in unconditional positive regard and work to help young people understand their values, build resilience and achieve greater satisfaction and fulfillment in their day-to-day lives.
Meet the team
The team includes Sam Williams, who has experience working with children and young people and draws on person-centred therapies and evidence-based techniques; Nerida Kinross-Smith, a registered clinical psychologist with 30+ years' experience in mental health including work with children and families, assessment of learning and developmental difficulties such as ADHD and ASD, and school and family interventions. Both are registered psychologists committed to providing unconditional positive regard and creating safe, non-judgmental spaces for their clients to explore their experiences.
