  • Our approach

Belco Psych Assessments does assessments only, not therapy. It does not sell fixed packages. Each assessment is planned around the question you bring, and the aim is to understand your child's strengths and difficulties, not just to answer yes or no to a diagnosis. Every assessment ends with a feedback appointment and a written report.

  • Your first visit

Send an enquiry through the online form on the website. The practice does not take phone enquiries. You fill in screening forms, usually at no charge, and a psychologist reviews them to check the practice is the right fit. If you go ahead, the first appointment is a 50-minute intake interview, which costs $318. After it, you decide whether to continue. No referral is needed for a private assessment, but you need one from a GP, paediatrician or psychiatrist to claim any Medicare rebate.
