Our approach
Therapy at Aperture Psychology draws on a range of evidence-based approaches tailored to each person's needs, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based approaches. Sessions are designed around your personal needs and typically last 50 minutes, beginning with an initial two-session assessment to build understanding of your situation and outline the treatment path ahead. By the end of your first session, you'll have a clearer sense of the problem and a preliminary view of the steps ahead. Treatment is personalised based on your specific challenges, with progress tracked through standardised psychological questionnaires and self-reports. Most clients demonstrate measurable progress within 6 to 10 sessions, with the option to transition to fortnightly or monthly appointments as you progress.
