  • Our approach

Adventure OT uses a play-based approach grounded in natural outdoor settings, meeting each child where they are and supporting their unique strengths and differences. Sessions focus on helping children thrive in areas that matter most to them through innovative and engaging therapy. The approach is informed by leading-edge practices including DIR-Floortime® and Ayres Sensory Integration, with a strong focus on neurodiversity-affirming methods that respect each child's individual needs. Occupational therapy involves evaluating and developing capacities in sensory integration, movement and gross motor skills, fine motor skills, emotional regulation and social participation. The overarching philosophy is that children do well if they can, and they learn how to learn through play.
