Our approach
Your Best Life Children's and Teens' Therapy uses evidence-based therapeutic approaches tailored to each child's needs, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, play-based therapy, and skills development. Sessions focus on helping children engage in activities they need, want, and are expected to do across everyday life, school, and social situations. The team works collaboratively across different therapy disciplines—psychology, occupational therapy, speech pathology, physiotherapy, and behaviour support—to ensure a holistic, coordinated approach. Families are supported throughout the process with parenting assistance and skills development to reinforce progress at home. Sessions take place at the centre, school, home, or in the community, and can be delivered via telehealth where appropriate.
Working with families
Parents and carers are actively involved in the therapeutic process and receive direct support through parenting assistance and skills development sessions. The team works closely with families to reinforce therapy goals at home through appropriate home exercise programs and strategies tailored to your child's needs. Therapists collaborate with families, teachers, early childhood educators, and other service providers to ensure a consistent, team-based approach to your child's care. Regular communication and coordination help ensure therapy progresses smoothly and outcomes are achieved across all environments where your child spends time.
