• Our approach

The approach is evidence-based and family-centered, meaning parents are actively involved in supporting their child's progress at home. Sessions address speech clarity, language understanding and expression, stuttering, social communication, and literacy skills. Flexible appointment times are available, including before and after school sessions to fit around your schedule. The clinic offers face-to-face appointments, online telehealth sessions, and mobile visits to daycare centres and schools.

  Parents receive practical tips and guidance to reinforce learning at home, which is a key part of supporting their child's speech and language development. The clinic uses parent training and maintains links with other health services to ensure coordinated care. Parents are encouraged to share their concerns and observations when contacting the clinic and throughout the therapy process. • Meet the team

  The practice is led by Vanessa Xu, a speech pathologist with 13 years of experience working with children. She holds a Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from The University of Sydney and has worked across both public (NSW Health) and private settings in regional and metropolitan areas. She is trained and certified in several evidence-based programs including Hanen - It Takes Two To Talk, Target Word, and the Lidcombe Program for children who stutter. Her experience includes working with bilingual families, children with English as a second language, and those with special needs.
