Our approach
At ValleyKids, therapy is individualised and tailored to each child's specific needs. Paediatric physiotherapists use their expertise in anatomy and child development to assess and treat movement difficulties, helping children participate more fully in everyday activities and play. Occupational therapists support children with developmental delays and disabilities that affect daily life and independence, using specialised assessments to identify underlying needs. Both physiotherapists and occupational therapists work collaboratively with allied health assistants to deliver therapy programs and develop treatment plans that help children meaningfully engage in their everyday lives.
Meet the team
ValleyKids has paediatric physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and allied health assistants on staff. Paediatric physiotherapists have extensive understanding of anatomy, physical function and child development, allowing them to assess and treat a broad range of movement disorders. Paediatric occupational therapists have comprehensive knowledge of child development and childhood roles across social, learning, play and recreational settings. Allied health assistants are qualified to provide therapy supports in collaboration with the child's treating therapist.
