  • Our approach

Sessions are client-centred and strengths-based, using evidence-based therapeutic approaches tailored to each person's unique needs and goals. The team employs a variety of treatment methods, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and couples therapy using the Gottman Method. Sessions are designed to provide medium to long-term therapy according to individual needs, in a safe and supportive environment where clients feel comfortable, heard, and understood. The approach emphasises healing, transformation, and empowering individuals with tools for personal growth.

  • Working with families

For adolescents under 18, parental consent is required for psychological treatment, and the psychologist may request permission to keep session content confidential to establish trust and rapport with the young person. Psychologists will provide parents and legal guardians with important information about their child's wellbeing, including any risks, treatment goals, and general progress. For teen and adolescent psychology (ages 12+), the service specifically includes providing parents with tools and techniques to assist their child. All sessions are kept strictly confidential and legally protected, helping to build trust while keeping parents informed of key developments.

  • Your first visit

At a first appointment, relevant information is gathered and evaluated to help determine the nature of concerns and develop an appropriate treatment plan. The initial assessment process creates a welcoming space where you can openly discuss your child's needs, whether for general psychology, ADHD assessment, or ASD assessment. During the assessment, the psychologists take time to understand each child's unique abilities and support needs in a relaxed, nurturing environment designed to help them feel comfortable and confident. A detailed report is then prepared outlining findings and recommendations for next steps.
