Sessions pair evidence-based care with warm, practical guidance, whether you're dealing with everyday stressors or more complex presentations. The psychologist will work with you to understand your history and develop a tailored plan based on your desired outcomes. Your initial appointment focuses on information gathering and providing you with some initial tools to help manage your symptoms before your next appointment. Throughout the process, the team ensures a smooth and comfortable experience, recognising that seeing a psychologist can feel overwhelming.

  • Meet the team

The Psychology Talk team includes Drew, a psychologist with over 9 years' experience who works with a variety of people and organisations delivering leadership and mental health support. Gemma is also a psychologist with over six years of experience, bringing an empathetic, non-judgemental and goal-focused therapeutic style. Mark provides clinic support and is experienced in working with people who need mental health support, with a particular gift for making people feel at ease. The team collectively brings expertise in areas including anxiety, depression, work issues, emotional regulation and stress.

  • Your first visit

Your first appointment is about understanding you and your history better, so the session will focus on information gathering. You'll be provided with some initial tools to help manage your symptoms before your next appointment and have the opportunity to discuss any questions you have and provide feedback. From there a plan for ongoing appointments is developed and your desired outcome is confirmed, along with treatment options. The team aims to ensure a smooth and comfortable process, recognising that seeing a psychologist can feel overwhelming or anxiety-inducing.
