  • Our approach

The approach is evidence-based and centred on creating a safe, caring therapeutic relationship built on trust, understanding, and empathy. Sessions focus on developing practical skills and techniques to help you take a step back from problems and find balance—what they call "Middle Path thinking." The team uses several specialised therapies including Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and trauma-focused approaches. Sessions are personalised to your needs, and the psychologist will discuss appointment frequency early on to support optimal outcomes and your emotional and psychological wellbeing.

  • Meet the team

The team consists of two experienced Clinical Psychologists and Directors: Daniel, who holds a Master's in Clinical Psychology from ACU and has worked across private, public, and community mental health settings, and Angeline, a Consulting Psychologist and member of the Australian Psychological Society. Both are intensively trained in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and multiple evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, trauma therapies, and schema therapy. They are passionate about creating a safe, collaborative space where clients feel heard and understood, and each brings clinical experience and mentorship to their work with teenagers, adults, and older adults.

  • Your first visit

Your first appointment involves an initial phone call or session where the psychologist will discuss how often you should attend to achieve the best outcomes and build your therapeutic relationship. If you're having an assessment, the psychologist will conduct clinical interviews, obtain your relevant history, and complete observations to provide a diagnostic analysis. For ADHD assessments, this includes formal testing, while ASD assessments typically involve two face-to-face appointments of two hours each covering developmental history, behavioural observation, and clinical interviewing. The focus is always on understanding your strengths and helping you learn to manage any difficulties so you can thrive.
