Our approach
The Home School Teacher uses a child-led, Montessori-based approach to support learning in the home environment. Learning is embedded in the immediate environment and designed to celebrate each child's unique needs, whether through classroom sessions in the beautifully curated home space or through consultancy on creating a prepared learning environment at home.
Working with families
Family involvement is central to the service. Parents receive personalised guidance and consulting to equip them with confidence in supporting their child's learning at home. Working together happens through video consultations, ongoing consultancy focused on creating individualised learning goals and flexible lesson plans, and collaborative discussion of essential Montessori elements and how to implement them in your own space. The provider understands the balance of juggling multiple children's needs and works alongside parents to celebrate each child's unique style.
Meet the team
The Home School Teacher is led by a VIT-registered Early Childhood and Primary Teacher with Montessori qualifications for both the 3–6 and 6–12 age ranges, and ten years of experience teaching at a Montessori school. She has extensive experience working with children with varying degrees of neurodiversity and collaborating with families and multidisciplinary teams to implement supportive strategies. She is also an experienced parent managing a homeschooling model with three young children.
