The approach is grounded in building strong, trusting relationships with children and families, creating a warm and supportive environment where every child can thrive. All sessions are engaging and family-centred, with a strong focus on collaboration with families, educators and other professionals involved in the child's support. Sessions are specifically designed around each child's individual interests and needs to make therapy meaningful and effective.

  • Working with families

The service emphasises close collaboration with families throughout the therapy process, with sessions designed to be family-centred. Your child's clinician will work with you and other professionals involved in your child's care, such as educators and specialists, to ensure strategies are carried over into everyday settings like school and home. Michelle Whiteside, the Practice Manager, ensures clear communication with families from the first contact, creating a welcoming and supportive environment. The team values building strong, trusting relationships with families and tailors sessions to meet each child's unique needs and interests in partnership with you.

The team includes six qualified speech pathologists: Georgia Payze (Director and Founder), Isabella Dametto, Georgia Trigg, Elise Keenan, Caitlin McIntyre, and Isabella Raphael. All are paediatric speech pathologists with diverse clinical experience across speech, language, early intervention, social communication, pragmatics, literacy, fluency and AAC. The team values relationship-building with families and regularly completes professional development training in areas including Hanen programs, phonological intervention, autism studies, and evidence-based approaches like Collaborative and Proactive Solutions. Michelle Whiteside, the Practice Manager, has over 25 years of health industry experience and supports families, staff and communication with educators.

  • Your first visit

At the first appointment, clinicians conduct a formal assessment to gather comprehensive information about the child's language and speech needs. The assessment evaluates multiple areas including speech, early communication development, receptive and expressive language, fluency, social skills, literacy, and play. Short and longer assessment options are available depending on your child's needs. The clinic gathers relevant information through a detailed intake process, which includes medical history, previous professional support, and concerns from parents and educators. This thorough initial evaluation helps the team understand your child's strengths and areas for support.
