  • Our approach

    Sessions use a play-based approach with enjoyable, child-directed activities to help children overcome their challenges and learn essential skills. Therapists use evidence-based techniques tailored to each child's individual needs, incorporating practical strategies for daily life at home and school. The focus is on building confidence and meaningful participation through activities that children find engaging and fun. This approach means children get the most out of their therapy while developing skills in areas like fine and gross motor coordination, handwriting, self-care independence, social interaction, and emotional regulation.

    The provider values working closely with families, caregivers, schools, and health professionals to support each child's unique needs. Therapists collaborate with parents and multidisciplinary teams to ensure consistent, individualised support and holistic care. Sessions are designed to be enjoyable so children get the most out of therapy, with the understanding that families and the people around each child are partners in the therapy journey, learning together with the therapist.

  • Meet the team

    The team consists of three therapists with over 15 years of experience each. Lauren Farrington is a Senior Occupational Therapist specialising in autism, ADHD, anxiety, and sensory processing, trained in approaches including DIR®/Floortime, Zones of Regulation, and the Polyvagal Approach. Ashley Hopfe is a Senior Speech Pathologist with expertise in communication development, AAC systems, and feeding support, trained through The Hanen Center and in Key Word Sign. Amanda Chu is a Senior Occupational Therapist with a strengths-based, family-centred approach, experienced across developmental needs including autism, coordination difficulties, and sensory challenges.
