  • Our approach

Sessions are grounded in evidence-based therapy tailored to your child's individual needs, goals and strengths. The therapist will work collaboratively with you to explore challenges, understand what your child is struggling with, and design a treatment approach that addresses their specific difficulties. Sessions focus on building a strong therapeutic relationship in a safe, non-judgmental space where emotional and behavioural issues can be managed and overcome. The practice is committed to providing value in every session through professional, dedicated work until your child reaches all their therapy goals and maintains improved outcomes over time.

  • Meet the team

The team includes 13 highly skilled, experienced psychologists (male and female, aged 26–63) with expertise in child and adolescent therapy. Several have clinical endorsement or doctoral qualifications (Dr Matthew Gerathy, Dr Herewini Iversen), and others bring substantial experience across diverse settings: Simon Turmanis (Principal Psychologist, 20 years experience), Cassie Hardy (experienced with young people and families), Maitreyee Bhujbal (14 years experience, trauma-sensitive approach), Tom Xia (8+ years experience), Mark Podesta and Maneesha Singh (15+ years in mental health). Additional support is provided by client liaison officers. The practice prioritises preventing premature dropout from therapy and reports clients attend an average of 15 sessions, above the national average.

  • Your first visit

At your first appointment, the practice will spend 20–30 minutes helping you understand what your child is struggling with and what you want to change or improve through therapy. The team will then match you with the right psychologist based on their skills, experience, therapy style and availability. The initial session is typically 80–85 minutes. A 50% non-refundable deposit is taken at the time of booking, which is deducted from the full initial session fee. During this first session, the psychologist will work to understand your child's unique situation and begin building a strong therapeutic relationship in a safe space.
