  • Our approach

Building an effective therapeutic relationship is central to how sessions work here. Catherine takes a client-centred approach, which means each session is collaborative and focuses on the issues that matter most to you. Rather than a one-size-fits-all method, she draws on a range of therapeutic models—including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Narrative Therapy—tailoring your therapy journey to your specific needs and strengths. The overarching goal is to create a safe, comfortable environment where you feel supported to work towards living an authentic life. Sessions are 50 minutes within the hour.

  • Meet the team

Catherine is a registered psychologist with over 10 years of experience working across a broad range of mental health issues. She has worked extensively with adolescents and young people in both education and community settings, and continues to work with young people and adults in private practice. She holds a Master of Counselling, a Post-Graduate Diploma in Psychology, and Bachelor degrees in both Arts and Science (Psychology), all from Australian universities. She is fully registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a General Psychologist and is a member of The Australian Psychological Society.

  • Your first visit

At your first appointment, Catherine will work to establish a safe, welcoming environment where you feel comfortable discussing what's brought you in. Sessions are collaborative, so she'll focus on understanding the issues of greatest concern to you. The appointment is 50 minutes long, and can be conducted face-to-face at the Palm Beach clinic or via telehealth. To access Medicare rebates, you'll need to provide a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP on or before your first appointment. Bookings can be made online, or you can contact the practice directly by phone or email for more information.
