Our approach
At Sensory Smart Kids, sessions are built around a Sensory Integration framework that helps children and families understand how the child's unique sensory processing patterns affect their daily life. The occupational therapists work with children in a range of areas including fine and gross motor skills, self-regulation, social thinking skills, play skills, self-care and managing behavioural challenges. By seeing yourself and your child through a sensory lens, you can understand why certain situations feel more challenging and learn strategies to help your child manage their day more successfully. The clinic offers sessions in the clinic itself as well as home and community-based intervention, so support can happen in the environments where your child needs it most.
