About Reach Therapy Services
At Reach Therapy Services, we are very proud to offer comprehensive paediatric therapy services for children based in Perth, Western Australia. We offer both occupational therapy and speech therapy services to children aged 0 – 12 years old. We can provide children with support in one-on-one settings at home, at school or in the community. Our therapists have the experience and skills necessary to provide assessments, therapy intervention and consultative support across all environments.

- Develops skills needed to participate in meaningful activities, including fine motor skills, gross motor skills, emotional regulation, and sensory processing support.
- Speech Pathology
- Assessment and intervention in speech, language, and social communication, including speech sounds, fluency, receptive and expressive language, and social communication support.
- Autism Diagnostic Assessments
- Comprehensive assessments using ADOS-2 and standardised tools, including parent intake interview, developmental history, observations, and detailed written report with feedback.
- More Than Words (Hanen Program)
- Evidence-based parent training program for children aged 5 and under on the autism spectrum to improve social communication, play skills, and imitation.
- TalkAbility (Hanen Program)
- Parent training program for verbal children aged 3-7 on the autism spectrum to develop social communication and people skills.

Our approach
At Reach Therapy Services, therapy sessions focus on developing skills that help children participate meaningfully in everyday activities. For occupational therapy, the focus is on fine and gross motor skills, emotional regulation, and understanding sensory processing. For speech pathology, interventions address speech sounds, language development, and social communication. Sessions are delivered one-on-one in flexible settings including the centre, home, school, or community, tailored to each child's needs and circumstances.
Working with families
Reach Therapy Services emphasises family involvement through parent-focused programs including The Hanen Program, which is designed to help parents support their children and improve daily interactions. The More Than Words program equips parents with tools and strategies for children aged 5 and under on the autism spectrum, while TalkAbility teaches practical strategies for parents of verbal children aged 3–7. The service describes its autism assessment process as family-focused and provides practical recommendations and guidance to support parents in their child's progress.
Your first visit
During an initial appointment, the provider conducts assessments to understand your child's strengths and needs. For autism assessments specifically, therapists use the ADOS-2 alongside play-based activities and standardised tools to build a clear picture of your child. You'll receive a detailed report with practical recommendations and guidance on next steps. The process is described as supportive and family-focused, designed to give you a comprehensive understanding of where your child is and how to move forward.
