Our approach

Reach Academy focuses on personalised tutoring in small classes with an average of 3 students per group, creating a supportive learning environment where each child receives individual attention. Sessions are designed around structured curricula with a strong emphasis on exam technique and building confidence in key subjects. The approach combines comprehensive coverage of syllabus content with practical support through their Learning Management System, which provides course summaries, instructional videos and practice exams. Educators work collaboratively with students to develop active understanding, refining thought processes while imparting skills and knowledge. The philosophy emphasises that every student has unlimited potential and that learning can be enjoyable through positive teacher-student engagement.

Working with families

Reach Academy maintains open communication with parents and carers, always being available to discuss and provide feedback on students' progress and academic needs. The academy supports a collaborative approach between school teachers, educators, parents and students to ensure student success. The modern campus encourages parent engagement through seminars and events where parents can come together and discuss with experienced teachers. Parents receive regular study guides, notes, exam tips and other study resources from tutors to support their child's learning at home.

Meet the team

Reach Academy's educators are highly qualified specialists in their field, with the majority being experienced educators from top universities, selective and private schools, including head teachers, HSC markers, NAPLAN markers, ICAS senior markers and PhD holders. The teaching team includes a Head Teacher for English Boot-camp Writing courses, Cheryl Barnett, who previously taught at James Ruse Agricultural High School. All staff have completed Working with Children Checks to ensure student safety. The educators refine students' thought processes in addition to imparting skills, knowledge and understanding, and are described as high-achieving and relatable.

Your first visit

Reach Academy offers a free one-week trial lesson for all prospective students before enrolling, with no obligations attached. You can also arrange an introductory lesson to experience the teaching style and approach before committing to a course. The first appointment gives families a chance to see how classes are structured and meet the educators. This trial period allows students to experience the difference the academy can make to their learning. There's flexibility built in, as you're never locked in and can discontinue at any time with a pro-rata refund of remaining fees.
