Our approach
Quinn Health & Development uses a person-centred, multidisciplinary approach to help clients achieve their goals. The organisation believes in supporting the whole person—addressing not just communication and development, but also wellbeing, independence, and participation in the community. Sessions draw on the depth of experience and teamwork among multiple allied health professions, including speech pathology, occupational therapy, psychology, behaviour support, and physiotherapy. This holistic perspective reflects the understanding that early childhood learning, communication development, and emotional wellbeing are closely connected, supporting confidence, behaviour, relationships, and long-term mental health.
Working with families
The organisation is committed to a family-centred approach and creates a warm, inclusive environment where families feel supported. It strives to meet families with respect, expertise, and genuine care, and emphasises supporting the whole person—which includes recognising the role of families and carers in the child's development and wellbeing. Early intervention services include family training as part of the support package, reflecting the importance placed on involving families in their child's progress.
Meet the team
The team includes a Clinical Director (Fiona Quinn-Dezelak, with a background in clinical psychology), a Director of Business Services (Andrew Dezelak), and a multidisciplinary group of qualified allied health professionals. Speech pathologists include several with senior roles (Dominique, Emma, and Miranda). The team also includes an occupational therapist (Jamie Owen, Clinical Director), psychologists, behaviour support practitioners, physiotherapists, disability support workers, and allied health assistants. All team members are qualified professionals working collaboratively to deliver comprehensive, evidence-based services.
