Our approach
Psych Solutions NT uses a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches tailored to each client's unique needs and circumstances. Sessions typically employ Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Trauma Therapy and EMDR, depending on what suits the individual best. The team takes time to assess and understand each client's experiences, challenges and goals before developing a personalised treatment plan. Therapy sessions are conducted with respect for client confidentiality, with the aim of empowering individuals to achieve their mental health goals and improve their overall wellbeing.
Meet the team
Psych Solutions NT is led by Kerry Williams (Co-Director and Consultant Psychologist with a Master's in Forensic Psychology) and includes registered psychologists Natalie Althouse, Chloe Oliver, Dr Ilonka Guse-Brennfleck, Judy Iaquinto, Keith Kulda, Margi Macgregor, Michelle Wharton and Dr Amanda J White, along with accredited mental health social worker Dr Wilton and social worker Charity McAleer. The team members bring diverse qualifications and extensive experience across clinical, forensic, organisational and speciality areas including trauma, ADHD, perinatal care, and work with children and adolescents. All clinicians are registered practitioners committed to evidence-based practice and trauma-informed care.
Your first visit
The first appointment involves an assessment of the client's unique situation and preferences to determine the most suitable method of therapy. This process includes discussions about goals and past experiences to understand what each person needs and wants from treatment. The team works to create a supportive, confidential environment where clients feel comfortable sharing their concerns. Based on this initial assessment, a personalised treatment plan is developed to address the specific mental health issues and goals identified. Face-to-face appointments are preferred, though telehealth options are available for clients in Katherine, Alice Springs and remote communities.
Psych Solutions NT is not currently listed as a registered NDIS provider on the NDIS Commission register. They may still support plan-managed or self-managed NDIS participants — contact them to confirm.
