• Our approach

Ignite Learning uses an active coaching approach that goes beyond passively presenting course material. Before each session, tutors speak with students to understand their specific needs and tailor lesson plans to bridge skill gaps and learning goals. During sessions, carefully trained tutors use thoughtful open questions to guide students to discover answers themselves, rather than simply providing them. This method builds deeper understanding, improves retention under exam pressure, and fosters enjoyment of the subject matter. Content is actively applied and directly linked to school assignments and homework where possible, helping students build skills for exams and real life.

• Working with families

Parents receive detailed progress reports every two weeks so they always know where their child is at with their learning. The centre maintains fantastic communication with families, and queries are followed up quickly. Your tutor conducts an initial Discovery Call with you to understand your child's needs, and you can contact the Centre Manager on 02 8060 4243 or submit an enquiry form for any questions, with responses within 24 hours.

• Meet the team

The team includes Karla Sabella, Founder and English Coach, along with subject specialists including Jordan Shin (Maths, Physics & Chemistry Coach), Ragavi Ragavan (Biology, Chemistry, Maths and PDHPE Coach), and Salena Bhalerao (Economics & Legal Studies Coach). All tutors are high-achieving and trained in Ignite Learning's active coaching process through simulated tutoring sessions. The centre also has admin staff and management who handle communication and support. Tutors are familiar with NSW Syllabus content and requirements, with the organisation's 20-year association ensuring they stay up to date with the latest standards.

• Your first visit

Your first step is a free 15-minute Discovery Call with your tutor, conducted by phone or online, during which they get to know your child and understand their current grades, goals, and specific challenges. Your tutor then develops a detailed lesson plan tailored to your child's learning needs before the trial session. You'll then enjoy a complete 60-minute tutoring session that gives a genuine taste of Ignite Learning's tutoring methods. This trial session is completely no-risk—attending does not commit you to any further tutoring.
