Our approach
Occupational therapy sessions use a play-based approach designed to engage children while helping them develop the skills needed for a full and happy life. The therapists work closely with children and their families to identify what's preventing the child from achieving their goals, considering all areas of development including play, motor skills, sensory processing, social interactions, emotions and thinking. Each session is tailored to the child's individual needs and interests, with the location determined by what works best for the family—whether at the clinic, home, school or via telehealth. The team encourages playfulness, independence, confidence and meaningful connections, and believes that family involvement in therapy results in sustained and meaningful changes for both child and family.
