- Prescription of equipment to improve/maintain independence and reduce fall risk, including pressure care and palliative care equipment, with follow-through on sourcing, ordering, and setup.
- Building/Environmental Modifications
- Renovations and modifications including bathroom/kitchen access improvements, ramps, rails, bath cut outs, and stair lifts, with OT Works liaising with suitable builders.
- Occupational Health & Safety
- Manual handling risk assessments, development of safe transfer procedures, carer education and training, and workplace ergonomic assessments.
- Seating Assessments
- Assessment and prescription for wheelchairs (manual and power chairs), scooters, and geriatric chairs.
- Report Writing
- Enable applications for Department of Housing, rehabilitation plans, and progress reports.
- Rehabilitation
- Activities of daily living retraining, post-injury and surgery rehabilitation, and support for acute and chronic health conditions including upper limb therapy.
- Chronic Disease Management
- Medicare rebates available for a maximum of 5 sessions per calendar year for eligible clients.
- Department of Veterans Affairs Service
- Free service for eligible veterans including comprehensive functional assessments, equipment prescription, and home adaptations to reduce fall risk.
