Our approach
The service uses a person-centred, holistic approach focused on enabling clients to achieve independence, safety and an active lifestyle through meaningful occupational therapy interventions. Therapy is practical and goal-directed, tailored to individual needs and integrated into everyday life—therapists often come to clients in their homes or communities. Sessions involve thorough assessment, development of individualised goals, and involvement of family and carers to ensure strategies fit into daily routines. The team emphasizes using existing skills, developing new abilities, and implementing compensation strategies where appropriate, with education and support provided to help people cope with physical and psychological effects of their conditions.
