• Our approach

  Nurture9 Therapy Solutions uses a play-based, goal-focused approach to help children develop essential skills for daily activities. Sessions incorporate fun, engaging activities that facilitate learning while addressing each child's specific needs, whether these involve motor planning, sensory processing, emotional regulation, or social skills. The therapist works collaboratively with the child and their family to develop personalised strategies, emphasising a holistic view that considers physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development. • Meet the team

  The team is led by Director Ritu Khanna, an Occupational Therapist with over 20 years of experience in paediatric care and developmental disabilities in India and Australia. She holds a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy (Pediatrics) and is a Gold Medalist award recipient with expertise in Early Intervention, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Sensory Processing, Emotional Regulation, and Play Therapy. Ritu brings a holistic, family-centred approach and develops personalised strategies for each child. The practice employs highly skilled and experienced therapists who specialise in working with children with a wide range of needs, including developmental delays and sensory processing challenges.

• Your first visit

  The first appointment involves a comprehensive developmental assessment to thoroughly evaluate each child's strengths and areas of need. The assessment includes developmental screenings and functional assessments to understand how the child currently manages daily activities and participation. This information informs an individualised therapy plan tailored to address the specific needs and goals of your child. The therapist will also discuss your family's priorities and circumstances to ensure the therapy plan is relevant and achievable. This initial assessment provides a clear picture of where your child is and what support they need to reach their full potential.
