Our approach
Meaningful Activities uses a neurodiversity-affirming, person-centred approach grounded in occupational therapy models such as the Person-Environment-Occupation (PEO) model and the Model of Human Occupation (MOHO). Therapists work with individuals to understand how personal factors, environment, and meaningful activities interact, helping them develop strategies to engage in occupations that matter to them across home, school, work, and community settings. Sessions focus on identifying each person's unique strengths and abilities while supporting their participation in everyday activities like self-care, sleep, work, school, leisure, and social pursuits. The approach celebrates neurodiversity and recognises that living with diverse abilities or health conditions may influence engagement in daily life, and therapy is tailored accordingly.
