Our approach
MBH Coaching takes a personalised, student-centered approach that recognises each child learns differently. Sessions use one-on-one and small group formats (maximum 7 students) tailored to individual needs and learning styles. The focus extends beyond academics to include confidence-building, mentorship, and holistic support through systematic revision and the development of foundational skills. Tutors prepare thoroughly for sessions, provide regular feedback to parents during handovers, and are available to review assessments if requested.
Working with families
Parents receive regular updates on their child's progress, generally during handover at the end of each session. Written progress reports are available on request. Individual Education Plans (IEPs) are developed in consultation with parents and carers, and are reviewed twice yearly to track progress. In some instances, consultations with schools also occur. The centre maintains open communication to support collaborative learning outcomes.
Meet the team
The team consists of qualified teachers, individuals studying teaching degrees, and those studying specific subject areas at university. The centre has been established since 1996 and is based in Panania, with expertise supporting students from across Sydney. Individual tutors mentioned in reviews include Kenneth, Oliver, and Chloe, who are described as knowledgeable, dedicated, and skilled at building rapport with students while recognising their strengths and weaknesses.
Your first visit
An initial consultation can be scheduled by contacting the centre directly via phone or email. Families also have the option of a free 20-minute Discovery Session to understand the child's needs and receive general recommendations. For a more comprehensive evaluation, an optional in-person Consultation (1.0–1.5 hours) is available for $150, which may include standardised diagnostic assessments, written reports, and detailed observation and discussion of the student's needs.
