• Our approach

  The service takes time to understand each child as an individual by identifying their occupational areas of strength and challenge, then tailoring assessment and treatment to their specific needs. Occupational therapy sessions help children develop independence in tasks they find meaningful—whether that's social skills, play, self-care, fine and gross motor skills, managing emotions, or concentration. The therapists work with children and adolescents to enable their participation in the activities that matter in their daily lives. Sessions can take place in the clinic, at home, school, local parks, or via telehealth, giving families flexibility in how they access support.

• Meet the team

  The team includes Zoie, the Director and Principal Occupational Therapist, Lucinda, an Occupational Therapist, and Annette, a Learning Support Specialist (Therapy Assistant). All therapists commit to a code of ethics that outlines their relationship with and responsibilities to their clients. The service also notes that if a particular therapist doesn't feel like the right fit, parents can request another team member to ensure the best match for their child's needs.

• Your first visit

  The first appointment is an initial consultation lasting 60 minutes, followed by an assessment session if required. During these appointments, the therapist takes time to understand your child as an individual, identifying their occupational strengths and areas of challenge to help tailor the treatment plan to their needs. This helps the service determine the best approach for supporting your child's independence in the areas that matter most to your family.
