Our approach
At Luz, each program is designed around the individual needs of the child, with coaches integrated into the family's support team. The approach is practical and multidisciplinary, focusing on developing skills, independence and quality of life for children with disabilities including acquired brain injury, physical and neurological conditions, autism spectrum disorders, and intellectual disabilities. Sessions take place in a purpose-built centre with 16 specific spaces—including a sensory gym, arts and crafts room, indoor playground, kitchen for life skills, and library. The centre supports learning through diverse activities tailored to each child's goals, with strong emphasis on social and community engagement through group outings and events. Developmental Educators work closely with families, therapists, teachers and other support team members to implement and monitor progress.
