  • Our approach

The team takes a multi-disciplinary approach that combines evidence-based strategies with creative and imaginative play and communicative storytelling. Therapy sessions are tailored to each child's individual needs, with therapists working closely with families to ensure goals are meaningful and build upon the child's strengths. Sessions typically last 60 minutes to allow time for working on therapy goals and providing feedback and homework tasks for between sessions, though 45-minute sessions can be arranged if more appropriate. The therapy focuses on helping each child reach their individual potential in a supportive, respectful environment.

  • Working with families

The clinic takes a family-centred approach and works closely with families to ensure treatment plans are tailored to each child's unique strengths and abilities. Parents and carers are supported every step of the way with resources, strategies, and recommendations. The team can also provide support to families through workshops and collaborate with parents, schools and other allied health professionals. Regular feedback is given during sessions, and homework tasks are provided for practice between appointments.

  • Meet the team

The team includes Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Early Intervention Specialists, and a Nutritionist. Olivia Green is the Director and Speech Pathologist. Kiersten is an Early Intervention Specialist. Other team members include Sonia (Occupational Therapist) and Mariani (Nutritionist). The therapists are described as highly skilled and experienced in working with children and young people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds, with a dedicated paediatric focus across the clinic.

  • Your first visit

An initial assessment is a 90-minute session recommended if you're unsure of your child's specific needs or haven't had an assessment in the last 12 months. This in-depth session allows the therapist to analyse your child's needs and establish goals for therapy if necessary. At the end of the session, you'll receive a summary report of the results and recommendations. No referral from a doctor is required, though bringing an Enhanced Primary Care Plan or letter from a paediatrician is helpful if you have one.
