Our approach
At Lollipop Speech, therapy is engaging, evidence-based and focused on real-world progress that children actually care about. The team works with each child's strengths to build confident, functional communication in ways that feel natural and celebratory. Sessions are tailored to individual needs, whether delivered at the clinic, at home in the child's natural environment, or at school with collaboration from teachers and educators. The therapists use approaches like Sounds-Write and UFLI phonics for literacy work, and emphasise working closely with families because supporting a child's whole village matters. Every child is understood, supported and celebrated for who they are in a safe, welcoming space.
Working with families
Family involvement is central to the practice at Lollipop Speech. The therapists are passionate about supporting the child's whole village and work collaboratively with parents, carers and educators to ensure consistent progress across all environments. Communication and collaboration with families is emphasised throughout therapy, with regular check-ins and a focus on goals that matter to the whole family. At school or early learning settings, there is greater collaboration with teachers and educators to support the child's learning. The team values building warm, happy relationships with families and celebrating each child's unique achievements and milestones together, recognising that family involvement strengthens outcomes.
