  • Our approach

Easy Speech Pathology uses an evidence-based and collaborative approach that is warm, respectful and tailored to each child's individual strengths, needs and goals. Sessions are designed to feel calm and supportive, with a strong focus on building confident, trusting relationships with both children and families. The therapy environment is safe and welcoming, whether sessions take place in the clinic, at school, at home or via telehealth. Work is coordinated closely with families, schools and other professionals to ensure therapy feels consistent and meaningful across everyday environments, supporting progress in real-life situations.

  • Working with families

Open communication with families is central to how Easy Speech Pathology works. With parent consent, detailed session notes are provided after each session outlining what was worked on, progress observed, and strategies to support learning at home or school. Notes can be shared with teachers and other professionals to ensure everyone supporting your child has a shared understanding. Home practice activities are encouraged where appropriate, designed to be short, flexible and achievable—taking just a few minutes at a time—and families are always encouraged to communicate if practice feels difficult to fit in so goals can be adjusted to suit your circumstances.

  • Meet the team

The team consists of Olivia Clarnette, founder and speech pathologist who graduated from Flinders University in 2016 with over ten years' experience across home, school and clinic settings, and Anastasia Foumakis, a speech pathologist who graduated from Flinders University in 2022 and has worked across clinic, home, childcare and school settings. Both are trained in a range of evidence-based approaches including literacy intervention, social communication, speech sound development and neuro-affirming practice. They work collaboratively with families, schools and other professionals, bringing warmth, engagement and specialised training to support children across speech, language, literacy and social communication needs.

  • Your first visit

The initial consultation or assessment begins by understanding your child's strengths, needs and goals to gain a clear picture of their communication and learning profile. Based on this information, an individualised therapy plan is developed to support your child's development across speech, language, social communication or literacy. Session options are flexible, including 30-minute focus therapy sessions or 45-minute sessions addressing multiple therapy goals. You'll be guided through understanding your child's specific needs and the most appropriate therapy approach, and can discuss session frequency based on individual circumstances.
